On Wednesday 28th February 20 Year 12 pupils from St. Catherine’s College, Royal School and City of Armagh High School visited St. Patrick’s Grammar School to take part in an exam stress workshop. Cormac Venney from HiPerformace got everyone to complete different activities and made us think about how anxious we get when we complete exam questions.
We all separated into groups when we arrived and had fun making new friends. It was good to hear from Year 12 pupils who are also experiencing the pressure and stress of GCSE and get tips from Cormac how we can improve our stress management and become a more motivated student.
I enjoyed visiting a new school and felt it was a valuable experience that has made me more confident and prepared for my GCSE exams. I enjoyed working with pupils from the other schools and will hopefully see them again. I will definitely use the advice I was given and try to focus on my breathing in tests from now on.
