Preparations are underway at St Patrick’s Grammar School, Armagh for the 3rd annual Shared Education Cross-Country event in association with Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council.
Races will take place at the St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Moy Road playing fields on Thursday 15th November 2018.
The event organised by Year 14 Sport Science students, anticipates that some 600 plus students from the Armagh Area Learning Community and District D/E schools will be in attendance, for what promises to be an excellent day of cross-country running.
Lord Mayor Councillor Julia Flaharty was in attendance with representatives from The Royal School Armagh and St Catherine’s College Armagh. She stated that she was delighted to be supporting such a promising event and was thrilled to be welcoming the participants on the day. Alongside Mr Dominic Clarke, Principal of St Patrick’s Grammar School, they will be presenting trophies and medals to the 1st twelve competitors’ home in each boy and girls race from mini to intermediate.
There will also be a collection on the day for the charity “School Aid Romania” and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
